Michael Mmoh Wins First ATP Challenger Title & AO Wild Card

Michael Mmoh (VCORE SV 98) is ending 2016 on a high note, winning his first ATP Challenger title and grabbing the Australian Open Wild Card within the span of just a few weeks.

Michael into the 2017 Australian Open
This week, Michael clinched the Australian Open Main Draw Singles Wild Card through the USTA Wild Card Playoff by defeating Stefan Kozlov to reach the Quarterfinals of the JSM Challenger of Champaign-Urbana. At just 18 years old, this is already his second career Grand Slam Main Draw after his 2016 US Open debut. Michael is also the 2016 Boys’ 18’s National Hard Court Champion. 

First ATP Challenger Tour Title
Earlier this month, Michael earned his 1st ATP Challenger Tour title, defeating Pete Polansky 7-5, 2-6, 6-1 in the Knoxville final and advanced 64 spots to his new career-high No. 204 in the Emirates ATP Rankings. Read Michael’s reaction to his win in this post-game interview.
