Roland Garros 2015: Wins in Women’s Singles and Men’s Doubles

YONEX tennis players continue to see great results in the third day of Roland Garros.

In women’s singles, Belinda Bencic (EZONE Ai 100POLYTOUR HS 125) is into the second round after securing a victory over Daniela Hantuchova. The 18-year-old, who recently won her first WTA title in doubles at the Prague Open, exhibited excellent form against the 32-year-old Slovakian, committing only 13 unforced errors to Hantuchova’s 26. Belinda sealed the match in straight sets with a 6-3, 6-3 scoreline.

We caught up with Belinda after her post-match cool down. Wearing an ear-to-ear smile, she was almost at a loss for words to express her happiness at earning her first Roland Garros win. She did however have this to say, “Thanks for all the support, and I’m really happy.”

Australian Open men’s doubles finalist Pierre-Hugues Herbert (VCORE Tour G, YONEX String) won in his first round encounter, partnered with Nicolas Mahut. Maintaining their high standard of performance, the duo excelled in an at-times tense match. Firing off 10 aces, the pair closed the match at 7-5, 6-7(5), 6-2.

Team Yonex tennis players’ high level of performance is backed up by high performance gear. In a new video featuring Stan Wawrinka (VCORE Tour GSHT-PRO), Belinda Bencic, and Borna Coric (VCORE Tour F 97POLYTOUR SPIN), these three show how Yonex’s gear is Proven to Amaze.
