Roland Garros 2016: Team EZONE Continue to Make Mark on Clay

The members of Team EZONE continue to make progress as this year’s Roland Garros. Players are seeing great results thanks to the EZONE DR’s huge sweet spot and explosive power.

Dominating With Dynamic Power

Croatian rising star Borna Coric (EZONE DR 98, POLYTOUR FIRE 125) is into the third round of Roland Garros for the second year in a row, triumphing over No. 20 seed Bernard Tomic. The youngster bounced back after dropping the opening set, exhibiting resounding power and solid strokes. The Croat’s on-court dynamism resulted in 17 aces and 48 winners, the final score coming to 3-6, 6-2, 7-6(4), 7-6(6). “After the first set, my plays went just as planned,” commented Borna after his match.

Ana Ivanovic (EZONE DR 98) is into the third round in women’s singles, defeating Kurumi Nara of Japan in two sets. The Serb demonstrated fierce aggression from the get-go, rushing to a 3-0 lead. While Ana faced a mild challenge on the part of her opponent, she kept her edge over Nara, taking the first set with a forehand winner. She proceeded to dominate in the second half of the match, winning 7-5, 6-1.

Martina Hingis (EZONE DR 100, POLYTOUR PRO 125, POWER CUSHION ECLIPSION L) has embarked upon her mixed doubles campaign with Leander Paes. They faced off against Anna-Lena Groenefeld and Robert Farah, pulling off a strong straight-set win, 6-4, 6-4. In women’s doubles with eyes on a “Santina Slam,” Martina and partner Sania Mirza won their first match against Russians Daria Kasatkina and Alexandra Panova, 7-6, 6-2.
