This year’s Roland Garros champion Stan Wawrinka (VCORE Tour G, SHT-PRO) is the No. 5 seed at the tournament, and faces Spain’s Albert Ramos-Vinolas in the first round, who Stan is undefeated against in four encounters. Borna Coric (VCORE Tour F 97, POLYTOUR SPIN) faces World No. 8 Rafael Nadal, who the Croatian teenager has met once before, and beaten.
Belinda Bencic (EZONE DR 100, POLYTOUR HS 125) is taking to the court with the new EZONE DR, seeded at No. 12. Her best Grand Slam result so far is at the US Open, placing as a quarterfinalist last year. Ana Ivanovic (EZONE DR 98) will also be competing with the new racquet, along with No. 1 women’s doubles seed Martina Hingis (EZONE DR 100, POLYTOUR PRO 125, SHT-PROL), who placed as the women’s doubles finalist last year, and won in both women’s and mixed doubles at this year’s Wimbledon. Representing Team VCORE on the women’s side are Angelique Kerber (VCORE Si 100), who has secured four Premier-tier WTA titles this year, and Sabine Lisicki (VCORE Tour F 97, POLYTOUR SPIN) who recently broke the record for most service aces at the Aegon Classic Birmingham this past June.
