YONEX Hopes Compete For Winning the Junior Title

In October 2012, World Super Junior Tennis Championships was held in Osaka, Japan. The junior boy’s singles world No.1 Nick Kyrgios (EZONE Xi 98) won the tournament, and 16-year-old Borna Coric (VCORE Tour 97, PTGSPN) became the semifinalist. Now they play at Australian Open to capture the junior Grand Slam title, and we received their impressions for YONEX racquet they use.

Nick commented about the great control performance of EZONE Xi 98. “Great control - some days it feels like I can’t miss. Great racquet for my serve and return. Feels like I can just control the ball where I want it to go, correct weight with no vibrations. Perfect for my killer shot - the double handed backhand down the line. I also helps maintain the non recurrence of my previous elbow injury (from using an unsuitable racquet). My choice of racquet at  this stage of my game.”

VCORE Tour 97 is Borna’s favorite racquet. He said, “I really like VCORE Tour 97, it gives me so much more confidence on my shots and power. Also I’m playing with YONEX string PolyTour SPIN, which gives me control. I think this combination is perfect. This racquet makes me sure that I can play against anyone as well as top players such as Stanislas Wawrinka do with it.”

Today Nick and Borna played in the quarterfinals. No.3 seed Nick faced No.7 seed Wayne Montgomery, and defeated the opponent in just 50 minutes by 6-1 6-1. Also Borna made 11 break chances to overcome Matej Maruscak of Slovakia by 6-3 6-2.

Please support the YONEX hopes to advance to the final!
