Stan Wawrinka (VCORE Tour G, SHT-PRO) earned a straight-set win against Romania’s Marius Copil. It took the defending champion just over two hours to beat the qualifier, the match ending at 7-6, 7-6, 6-3.
Veterans dominated in doubles, with Lleyton Hewitt (VCORE Tour 97, YONEX Shoes) and fellow Australian Chris Guccione beating Federico Delbonis and Albert Ramos-Vinolas 6-3, 6-3 in under an hour with 25 winners.
