With the new 4th Generation EZONE GT series the sky is no longer the limit

TOKYO, Japan Yonex Co., Ltd. is proud to announce the launch of the brand-new 4th Generation EZONE GT Series. These innovative drivers feature all-new StrikeSpeed Carbon technology, significantly enhancing the player’s ability to maximize distance, while the fairway woods and irons are also improved to achieve better performance. The series is wholly manufactured at Yonex’s Japanese factory in Niigata, and will be available from Late June  2024.

 

The EZONE GT drivers are the first golf clubs to feature the proprietary, Yonex-developed StrikeSpeed Carbon structure: The sole section utilizes 2G-Namd™ Speed*, an advanced graphite composite that assists the club head compressing and provides superior rebound on impact. This enables players of all skill levels to achieve high initial ball velocity even on off-center hits. Additionally, the graphite composite area of the sole is 10% larger than before, creating a synergetic effect with the 2G-Namd™ Speed* graphite in the crown.

 

In addition, from late June 2024, a new driver with the colors used by the Iwai sisters, designed in accordance with the requests of our contracted professionals Akie Iwai and Chisato Iwai, who are active in the women's professional golf world, will be added to the lineup. The lineup will also include a driver in the colors used by the Iwai sisters.

 

The new irons are also forged to maximize distance. To deliver this, Yonex has implemented Mighty Maraging Plus Steel into the clubs. This is an advanced material that combines the strength and flexibility of the face. In addition, the G-BRID (graphite hybrid) structure reinforced with graphite parts makes the face thinner and improves rebound performance. The reworked structure not only improves hit comfort, but also makes the iron perfect for long-distance shots.


Finally, the new lineup includes the EZONE GT WOMEN series, designed specifically for women and assisting their game across loft angle, weight, and other specifications. Lightweight and easy to swing, they can be used for high trajectory and long-distance shots at lower head speeds. The series also includes a left-handed version, making the EZONE GT Series suitable for all players.

 

* 2G-Namd™ Force is the technology developed by NITTA Co., Ltd. that “uniformly combines nano-dispersed graphite nanotubes into Graphite fibers”.

 

INNOVATION

Driver

1.  StrikeSpeed Carbon

The EZONE GT drivers are the first golf clubs to feature the proprietary, Yonex-developed StrikeSpeed Carbon structure: The sole section utilizes 2G-Namd™ Speed*, an advanced graphite composite that assists the club head compressing and provides superior rebound on impact. This enables players of all skill levels to achieve high initial ball velocity even on off-center hits. 

2.  New graphite composite structure

By expanding the graphite composite area by 10% compared to the conventional series, the rebound performance of the face is improved and a lower center of gravity is achieved by reducing the weight of the crown section, which, in synergy with the sole structure, further enhances the distance performance.

3. Vertical Laser Milled Face

Laser milling in the vertical direction of the faces reduces the tilt of the spin axis and improves directional stability, which helps increase the average flying distance

This is also used for fairway woods and Hybrids.

4.  Two different head shape designs

Two types of heads with different heel side shapes are available in the lineup. By adopting a sidewall eccentric thickness design and optimizing weight distribution, they provide the ideal grip to stabilize shots and to reach the ideal trajectory.

5.  High-performance graphite shaft 

The original shafts are designed and manufactured in Japan using advanced graphite materials. The 2G-Namd™ Flex Force, which excels in bending performances, is compounded close to the grip to create a compact and smooth swing, and the powerful initial speed performance increases the distance.

Mighty Maraging Steel Cup Face

A new face structure using high-hardness and flexible Mighty Maraging Steel has been adopted. The initial velocity of the ball and the rebound performance of the face have been enhanced.

Iron

1.  Graphite hybrid structure

The G-BRID (Graphite Hybrid) structure reinforced with graphite parts makes the face thinner and improves rebounding performance. The reworked structure reduces vibration, improves hit comfort, and makes the iron perfect for long-distance shots.
